A privileged guest user could use this flaw to write\ninto qemu address space on the host, potentially escalating their privileges\nto those of the qemu host process (CVE-2014-3689).\n\nIt was discovered that QEMU incorrectly handled USB xHCI controller live\nmigration. An attacker could possibly use this issue to cause a denial of\nservice, or possibly execute arbitrary code (CVE-2014-5263).\n\nJames Spadaro of Cisco reported insufficiently sanitized bits_per_pixel from\nthe client in the QEMU VNC display driver. An attacker having access to the\nguest's VNC console could use this flaw to crash the guest (CVE-2014-7815).\n\nAdditionally, the qemu update in MGASA-2014-0426 did not have USB redirection\nsupport because Qemu 1.6.2 requires an updated libusbredirparser library.\nThis update has been built against the updated usbredirparser library.\n",null,[],[],[],[14,16,18],{"_key":15},"CVE-2014-3689",{"_key":17},"CVE-2014-5263",{"_key":19},"CVE-2014-7815",[],[],[23,24,25],{"_key":15},{"_key":17},{"_key":19},"2014-11-21T12:44:16Z","2026-04-16T06:22:24.432354834Z",{"cisa_kev":29,"cisa_ransomware":29,"cisa_vendor":9,"epss_severity":9,"epss_score":9,"severity":9,"severity_score":9,"severity_version":9,"severity_source":9,"severity_vector":9,"severity_status":9},false,[31,37,42,46,51,55],{"url":32,"sources":33,"tags":35},"https://advisories.mageia.org/MGASA-2014-0467.html",[34],"osv_mageia",[36],"Advisory",{"url":38,"sources":39,"tags":40},"https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14434",[34],[41],"REPORT",{"url":43,"sources":44,"tags":45},"http://advisories.mageia.org/MGASA-2014-0426.html",[34],[41,36],{"url":47,"sources":48,"tags":49},"https://www.debian.org/security/2014/dsa-3066",[34],[41,50],"WEB",{"url":52,"sources":53,"tags":54},"http://www.ubuntu.com/usn/usn-2409-1/",[34],[41,50],{"url":56,"sources":57,"tags":58},"https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/package-announce/2014-November/143312.html",[34],[41,50],[],[],[],[63,75],{"ecosystem":64,"name":65,"vendor":66,"product":65,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":67,"purl_namespace":66,"purl_name":65,"source":9,"versions":68},"Mageia","qemu","mageia","rpm",[69],{"version":70,"is_range":71,"range_type":72,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":73,"version_end_type":74,"fixed_in":9},"lt1_6_2_1_5_mga4",true,"ecosystem","1.6.2-1.5.mga4","excluding",{"ecosystem":64,"name":76,"vendor":66,"product":76,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":67,"purl_namespace":66,"purl_name":76,"source":9,"versions":77},"usbredir",[78],{"version":79,"is_range":71,"range_type":72,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":80,"version_end_type":74,"fixed_in":9},"lt0_6_1_mga4","0.6-1.mga4"]
