On x86-64 architecture systems, a local user\nable to create ping sockets could use this flaw to crash the system. On\nnon-x86-64 architecture systems, a local user able to create ping sockets\ncould use this flaw to increase their privileges on the system.\nNote: By default ping sockets are disabled on the system \n(net.ipv4.ping_group_range = 1 0) and have to be explicitly enabled by the\nsystem administrator for specific user groups in order to exploit this issue\n(CVE-2015-3636).\n\nFor other fixes in this update, see the referenced changelogs.\n",null,[],[],[],[14,16,18],{"_key":15},"CVE-2014-8160",{"_key":17},"CVE-2015-0239",{"_key":19},"CVE-2015-3636",[],[],[23,24,25],{"_key":15},{"_key":17},{"_key":19},"2015-05-13T17:18:54Z","2026-04-16T06:24:32.371052650Z",{"cisa_kev":29,"cisa_ransomware":29,"cisa_vendor":9,"epss_severity":9,"epss_score":9,"severity":9,"severity_score":9,"severity_version":9,"severity_source":9,"severity_vector":9,"severity_status":9},false,[31,37,42,47],{"url":32,"sources":33,"tags":35},"https://advisories.mageia.org/MGASA-2015-0221.html",[34],"osv_mageia",[36],"Advisory",{"url":38,"sources":39,"tags":40},"https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15873",[34],[41],"REPORT",{"url":43,"sources":44,"tags":45},"https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v3.x/ChangeLog-3.14.40",[34],[41,46],"WEB",{"url":48,"sources":49,"tags":50},"https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v3.x/ChangeLog-3.14.41",[34],[41,46],[],[],[],[55],{"ecosystem":56,"name":57,"vendor":58,"product":57,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":59,"purl_namespace":58,"purl_name":57,"source":9,"versions":60},"Mageia","kernel-linus","mageia","rpm",[61],{"version":62,"is_range":63,"range_type":64,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":65,"version_end_type":66,"fixed_in":9},"lt3_14_41_1_mga4",true,"ecosystem","3.14.41-1.mga4","excluding"]
