A local user able to open a raw packet socket (requires the\nCAP_NET_RAW capability) could use this flaw to elevate their privileges\non the system (CVE-2016-8655).\n\nLinux kernel built with the Kernel-based Virtual Machine(CONFIG_KVM)\nsupport is vulnerable to an information leakage issue. It could occur\non x86 platform, while emulating instructions in 32bit mode. A \nuser/process could use this flaw to leak host kernel memory bytes\n(CVE-2016-9756).\n\nA bug in SO_{SND|RCV}BUFFORCE setsockopt() implementation allows\nCAP_NET_ADMIN users to set negative sk_sndbuf or sk_rcvbuf values.\nA user could use this flaw to cause various memory corruptions,\ncrashes and OOM (CVE-2016-9793).\n\nFor other fixes in this update, see the referenced changelogs.\n",null,[],[],[],[14,16,18,20,22],{"_key":15},"CVE-2016-8645",{"_key":17},"CVE-2016-8650",{"_key":19},"CVE-2016-8655",{"_key":21},"CVE-2016-9756",{"_key":23},"CVE-2016-9793",[],[],[27,28,29,30,31],{"_key":15},{"_key":17},{"_key":19},{"_key":21},{"_key":23},"2016-12-08T07:33:24Z","2026-04-16T06:25:04.404435085Z",{"cisa_kev":35,"cisa_ransomware":35,"cisa_vendor":9,"epss_severity":9,"epss_score":9,"severity":9,"severity_score":9,"severity_version":9,"severity_source":9,"severity_vector":9,"severity_status":9},false,[37,43,48,53,57,61],{"url":38,"sources":39,"tags":41},"https://advisories.mageia.org/MGASA-2016-0415.html",[40],"osv_mageia",[42],"Advisory",{"url":44,"sources":45,"tags":46},"https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19906",[40],[47],"REPORT",{"url":49,"sources":50,"tags":51},"https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v4.x/ChangeLog-4.4.33",[40],[47,52],"WEB",{"url":54,"sources":55,"tags":56},"https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v4.x/ChangeLog-4.4.34",[40],[47,52],{"url":58,"sources":59,"tags":60},"https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v4.x/ChangeLog-4.4.35",[40],[47,52],{"url":62,"sources":63,"tags":64},"https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v4.x/ChangeLog-4.4.36",[40],[47,52],[],[],[],[69,81,85,91,95],{"ecosystem":70,"name":71,"vendor":72,"product":71,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":73,"purl_namespace":72,"purl_name":71,"source":9,"versions":74},"Mageia","kernel","mageia","rpm",[75],{"version":76,"is_range":77,"range_type":78,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":79,"version_end_type":80,"fixed_in":9},"lt4_4_36_2_mga5",true,"ecosystem","4.4.36-2.mga5","excluding",{"ecosystem":70,"name":82,"vendor":72,"product":82,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":73,"purl_namespace":72,"purl_name":82,"source":9,"versions":83},"kernel-userspace-headers",[84],{"version":76,"is_range":77,"range_type":78,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":79,"version_end_type":80,"fixed_in":9},{"ecosystem":70,"name":86,"vendor":72,"product":86,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":73,"purl_namespace":72,"purl_name":86,"source":9,"versions":87},"kmod-vboxadditions",[88],{"version":89,"is_range":77,"range_type":78,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":90,"version_end_type":80,"fixed_in":9},"lt5_1_10_2_1_mga5","5.1.10-2.1.mga5",{"ecosystem":70,"name":92,"vendor":72,"product":92,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":73,"purl_namespace":72,"purl_name":92,"source":9,"versions":93},"kmod-virtualbox",[94],{"version":89,"is_range":77,"range_type":78,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":90,"version_end_type":80,"fixed_in":9},{"ecosystem":70,"name":96,"vendor":72,"product":96,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":73,"purl_namespace":72,"purl_name":96,"source":9,"versions":97},"kmod-xtables-addons",[98],{"version":99,"is_range":77,"range_type":78,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":100,"version_end_type":80,"fixed_in":9},"lt2_10_17_mga5","2.10-17.mga5"]
