A local\nattacker could use this to cause a denial of service (system crash) or\nexecute arbitrary code (CVE-2021-3491).\n\nAn out-of-bounds (OOB) memory access flaw was found in fs/f2fs/node.c in\nthe f2fs module in the Linux kernel in versions before 5.12.0-rc4. A bounds\ncheck failure allows a local attacker to gain access to out-of-bounds\nmemory leading to a system crash or a leak of internal kernel information\n(CVE-2021-3506).\n\nA race condition in Linux kernel SCTP sockets (net/sctp/socket.c) before\n5.12-rc8 can lead to kernel privilege escalation from the context of a\nnetwork service or an unprivileged process. If sctp_destroy_sock is called\nwithout sock_net(sk)->sctp.addr_wq_lock then an element is removed from\nthe auto_asconf_splist list without any proper locking. This can be\nexploited by an attacker with network service privileges to escalate to\nroot or from the context of an unprivileged user directly if a\nBPF_CGROUP_INET_SOCK_CREATE is attached which denies creation of some\nSCTP socket. \nNOTE! This already had a fix in kernel-5.10.33, but that fix caused some\nsystems to deadlock, so this is now fixed in a better way (CVE-2021-23133).\n\nbpf: Fix propagation of 32 bit unsigned bounds from 64 bit bounds\n(CVE-2021-31440).\n\nkernel/bpf/verifier.c in the Linux kernel through 5.12.1 performs undesirable\nspeculative loads, leading to disclosure of stack content via side-channel\nattacks. The specific concern is not protecting the BPF stack area against\nspeculative loads. Also, the BPF stack can contain uninitialized data that\nmight represent sensitive information previously operated on by the kernel\n(CVE-2021-31829).\n\nnet/bluetooth/hci_request.c in the Linux kernel through 5.12.2 has a race\ncondition for removal of the HCI controller (CVE-2021-32399).\n\nIn the Linux kernel before 5.12.4, net/bluetooth/hci_event.c has a\nuse-after-free when destroying an hci_chan. This leads to writing an\narbitrary value. (CVE-2021-33034).\n\nOther fixes in this update:\n- Revert upstream iommu/vt-d fixes causing systems to hang at boot:\n * \"iommu/vt-d: Preset Access/Dirty bits for IOVA over FL\"\n * \"iommu/vt-d: Remove WO permissions on second-level paging entries\"\n- Revert \"irqbypass: do not start cons/prod when failed connect\" as\n it may cause VM freeze on arm64 with GICv4\n- ACPI / EC: Fix media keys not working problem on more Asus laptops\n- ACPI: PM: Add ACPI ID of Alder Lake Fan\n- iwlwifi: add new pci id for 6235\n- usb: xhci: Add reset resume quirk for AMD xhci controller\n- usb: xhci: Increase timeout for HC halt\n\nFor other upstream fixes, see the referenced changelogs.\n",null,[],[],[],[14,16,18,20,22,24,26],{"_key":15},"CVE-2021-3491",{"_key":17},"CVE-2021-3506",{"_key":19},"CVE-2021-23133",{"_key":21},"CVE-2021-31440",{"_key":23},"CVE-2021-31829",{"_key":25},"CVE-2021-32399",{"_key":27},"CVE-2021-33034",[],[],[31,32,33,34,35,36,37],{"_key":19},{"_key":21},{"_key":23},{"_key":25},{"_key":27},{"_key":15},{"_key":17},"2021-05-19T19:29:59Z","2026-04-16T04:25:16.291872Z",{"cisa_kev":41,"cisa_ransomware":41,"cisa_vendor":9,"epss_severity":9,"epss_score":9,"severity":9,"severity_score":9,"severity_version":9,"severity_source":9,"severity_vector":9,"severity_status":9},false,[43,49,54,59,63,67],{"url":44,"sources":45,"tags":47},"https://advisories.mageia.org/MGASA-2021-0214.html",[46],"osv_mageia",[48],"Advisory",{"url":50,"sources":51,"tags":52},"https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28908",[46],[53],"REPORT",{"url":55,"sources":56,"tags":57},"https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/ChangeLog-5.10.34",[46],[53,58],"WEB",{"url":60,"sources":61,"tags":62},"https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/ChangeLog-5.10.35",[46],[53,58],{"url":64,"sources":65,"tags":66},"https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/ChangeLog-5.10.36",[46],[53,58],{"url":68,"sources":69,"tags":70},"https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/ChangeLog-5.10.37",[46],[53,58],[],[],[],[75,87,93,99,104,109],{"ecosystem":76,"name":77,"vendor":78,"product":77,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":79,"purl_namespace":78,"purl_name":77,"source":9,"versions":80},"Mageia","kernel","mageia","rpm",[81],{"version":82,"is_range":83,"range_type":84,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":85,"version_end_type":86,"fixed_in":9},"lt5_10_37_2_mga7",true,"ecosystem","5.10.37-2.mga7","excluding",{"ecosystem":76,"name":88,"vendor":78,"product":88,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":79,"purl_namespace":78,"purl_name":88,"source":9,"versions":89},"kmod-virtualbox",[90],{"version":91,"is_range":83,"range_type":84,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":92,"version_end_type":86,"fixed_in":9},"lt6_1_22_1_4_mga7","6.1.22-1.4.mga7",{"ecosystem":76,"name":94,"vendor":78,"product":94,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":79,"purl_namespace":78,"purl_name":94,"source":9,"versions":95},"kmod-xtables-addons",[96],{"version":97,"is_range":83,"range_type":84,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":98,"version_end_type":86,"fixed_in":9},"lt3_13_26_mga7","3.13-26.mga7",{"ecosystem":76,"name":77,"vendor":78,"product":77,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":79,"purl_namespace":78,"purl_name":77,"source":9,"versions":100},[101],{"version":102,"is_range":83,"range_type":84,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":103,"version_end_type":86,"fixed_in":9},"lt5_10_37_2_mga8","5.10.37-2.mga8",{"ecosystem":76,"name":88,"vendor":78,"product":88,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":79,"purl_namespace":78,"purl_name":88,"source":9,"versions":105},[106],{"version":107,"is_range":83,"range_type":84,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":108,"version_end_type":86,"fixed_in":9},"lt6_1_22_1_4_mga8","6.1.22-1.4.mga8",{"ecosystem":76,"name":94,"vendor":78,"product":94,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":79,"purl_namespace":78,"purl_name":94,"source":9,"versions":110},[111],{"version":112,"is_range":83,"range_type":84,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":113,"version_end_type":86,"fixed_in":9},"lt3_18_1_4_mga8","3.18-1.4.mga8"]
