A remote user could use this flaw to crash the\nsystem. This is fixed by removing DECnet support (CVE-2023-3338).\n\nA use-after-free vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel's netfilter\nsubsystem in net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c. Mishandled error handling with\nNFT_MSG_NEWRULE makes it possible to use a dangling pointer in the same\ntransaction causing a use-after-free vulnerability. This flaw allows a\nlocal attacker with user access to cause a privilege escalation issue\n(CVE-2023-3390).\n\nNOTE!!\nThis kernel also contains a fix for dkms builds hanging / stalling during\nupgrade to Mageia 9 (mga#31982) due to the new make 4.4 series utility\nending up in a loop processing Makefile in kernel-devel packages.\nSo if you use dkms packaged drivers and kernel-linus, you need to be\nrunning this kernel (or any later released ones) before you do an online\nupgrade to avoid the upgrade stalling / hanging.\n\nFor other upstream fixes in this update, see the referenced changelogs.\n",null,[],[],[],[14,16],{"_key":15},"CVE-2023-3338",{"_key":17},"CVE-2023-3390",[],[],[21,22],{"_key":15},{"_key":17},"2023-07-19T19:53:31Z","2026-04-16T04:22:27.611035Z",{"cisa_kev":26,"cisa_ransomware":26,"cisa_vendor":9,"epss_severity":9,"epss_score":9,"severity":9,"severity_score":9,"severity_version":9,"severity_source":9,"severity_vector":9,"severity_status":9},false,[28,34,39,43,48,52],{"url":29,"sources":30,"tags":32},"https://advisories.mageia.org/MGASA-2023-0238.html",[31],"osv_mageia",[33],"Advisory",{"url":35,"sources":36,"tags":37},"https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32094",[31],[38],"REPORT",{"url":40,"sources":41,"tags":42},"https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31982",[31],[38],{"url":44,"sources":45,"tags":46},"https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/ChangeLog-5.15.118",[31],[38,47],"WEB",{"url":49,"sources":50,"tags":51},"https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/ChangeLog-5.15.119",[31],[38,47],{"url":53,"sources":54,"tags":55},"https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/ChangeLog-5.15.120",[31],[38,47],[],[],[],[60],{"ecosystem":61,"name":62,"vendor":63,"product":62,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":64,"purl_namespace":63,"purl_name":62,"source":9,"versions":65},"Mageia","kernel-linus","mageia","rpm",[66],{"version":67,"is_range":68,"range_type":69,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":70,"version_end_type":71,"fixed_in":9},"lt5_15_120_2_mga8",true,"ecosystem","5.15.120-2.mga8","excluding"]
