It could occur when receiving packets over the network. A user inside guest could use this flaw to crash the Qemu process resulting in DoS (bsc#1110910).\n- CVE-2018-15746: Fixed qemu-seccomp.c that might allow local OS guest users to cause a denial of service (guest crash) by leveraging mishandling of the seccomp policy for threads other than the main thread (bsc#1106222).\n- CVE-2018-16847: Fixed an OOB heap buffer r/w access issue that was found in the NVM Express Controller emulation in QEMU. It could occur in nvme_cmb_ops routines in nvme device. A guest user/process could use this flaw to crash the QEMU process resulting in DoS or potentially run arbitrary code with privileges of the QEMU process (bsc#1114529).\n- CVE-2018-17958: Fixed a Buffer Overflow in rtl8139_do_receive in hw/net/rtl8139.c because an incorrect integer data type is used (bsc#1111006).\n- CVE-2018-17962: Fixed a Buffer Overflow in pcnet_receive in hw/net/pcnet.c because an incorrect integer data type is used (bsc#1111010).\n- CVE-2018-17963: Fixed qemu_deliver_packet_iov in net/net.c that accepts packet sizes greater than INT_MAX, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact. (bsc#1111013)\n- CVE-2018-18849: Fixed an out of bounds memory access issue that was found in the LSI53C895A SCSI Host Bus Adapter emulation while writing a message in lsi_do_msgin. It could occur during migration if the 'msg_len' field has an invalid value. A user/process could use this flaw to crash the Qemu process resulting in DoS (bsc#1114422).\n\nNon-security issues fixed:\n\n- Fix slowness in arm32 emulation (bsc#1112499).\n- In order to improve spectre mitigation for s390x, add a new feature in the QEMU cpu model to provide the etoken cpu feature for guests (bsc#1107489).\n",null,[],[],[],[14,16,18,20,22,24,26],{"_key":15},"CVE-2018-10839",{"_key":17},"CVE-2018-15746",{"_key":19},"CVE-2018-16847",{"_key":21},"CVE-2018-17958",{"_key":23},"CVE-2018-17962",{"_key":25},"CVE-2018-17963",{"_key":27},"CVE-2018-18849",[],[],[31,32,33,34,35,36,37],{"_key":15},{"_key":17},{"_key":19},{"_key":21},{"_key":23},{"_key":25},{"_key":27},"2018-11-27T12:39:22Z","2026-02-04T02:44:58.127896Z",{"cisa_kev":41,"cisa_ransomware":41,"cisa_vendor":9,"epss_severity":9,"epss_score":9,"severity":9,"severity_score":9,"severity_version":9,"severity_source":9,"severity_vector":9,"severity_status":9},false,[43,49,54,58,62,66,70,74,78,82,86,91,95,99,103,107,111],{"url":44,"sources":45,"tags":47},"https://www.suse.com/support/update/announcement/2018/suse-su-20183927-1/",[46],"osv_suse",[48],"Advisory",{"url":50,"sources":51,"tags":52},"https://bugzilla.suse.com/1106222",[46],[53],"REPORT",{"url":55,"sources":56,"tags":57},"https://bugzilla.suse.com/1107489",[46],[53],{"url":59,"sources":60,"tags":61},"https://bugzilla.suse.com/1110910",[46],[53],{"url":63,"sources":64,"tags":65},"https://bugzilla.suse.com/1111006",[46],[53],{"url":67,"sources":68,"tags":69},"https://bugzilla.suse.com/1111010",[46],[53],{"url":71,"sources":72,"tags":73},"https://bugzilla.suse.com/1111013",[46],[53],{"url":75,"sources":76,"tags":77},"https://bugzilla.suse.com/1112499",[46],[53],{"url":79,"sources":80,"tags":81},"https://bugzilla.suse.com/1114422",[46],[53],{"url":83,"sources":84,"tags":85},"https://bugzilla.suse.com/1114529",[46],[53],{"url":87,"sources":88,"tags":89},"https://www.suse.com/security/cve/CVE-2018-10839",[46],[90],"WEB",{"url":92,"sources":93,"tags":94},"https://www.suse.com/security/cve/CVE-2018-15746",[46],[90],{"url":96,"sources":97,"tags":98},"https://www.suse.com/security/cve/CVE-2018-16847",[46],[90],{"url":100,"sources":101,"tags":102},"https://www.suse.com/security/cve/CVE-2018-17958",[46],[90],{"url":104,"sources":105,"tags":106},"https://www.suse.com/security/cve/CVE-2018-17962",[46],[90],{"url":108,"sources":109,"tags":110},"https://www.suse.com/security/cve/CVE-2018-17963",[46],[90],{"url":112,"sources":113,"tags":114},"https://www.suse.com/security/cve/CVE-2018-18849",[46],[90],[],[],[],[119,132],{"ecosystem":120,"name":121,"vendor":122,"product":123,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":124,"purl_namespace":122,"purl_name":123,"source":9,"versions":125},"SUSE Linux Enterprise","qemu","suse","qemu&distro=SUSE Linux Enterprise Module for Basesystem 15","rpm",[126],{"version":127,"is_range":128,"range_type":129,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":130,"version_end_type":131,"fixed_in":9},"lt2_11_2_9_12_2",true,"ecosystem","2.11.2-9.12.2","excluding",{"ecosystem":120,"name":121,"vendor":122,"product":133,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":124,"purl_namespace":122,"purl_name":133,"source":9,"versions":134},"qemu&distro=SUSE Linux Enterprise Module for Server Applications 15",[135],{"version":127,"is_range":128,"range_type":129,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":130,"version_end_type":131,"fixed_in":9}]
