Calling memcpy() (on ARMv7 targets that utilize the GNU glibc implementation) with a negative value for the 'num' parameter results in a signed comparison vulnerability. If an attacker underflows the 'num' parameter to memcpy(), this vulnerability could lead to undefined behavior such as writing to out-of-bounds memory and potentially remote code execution. Furthermore, this memcpy() implementation allows for program execution to continue in scenarios where a segmentation fault or crash should have occurred. The dangers occur in that subsequent execution and iterations of this code will be executed with this corrupted data.",null,[],[],[],[14],{"_key":15},"CVE-2020-6096",[17,19],{"_key":18},"USN-4954-1",{"_key":20},"USN-5310-1",[],[23,24],{"_key":18},{"_key":20},"2020-04-01T22:15:00Z","2026-04-22T12:43:02.085474Z",{"cisa_kev":28,"cisa_ransomware":28,"cisa_vendor":9,"epss_severity":9,"epss_score":9,"severity":9,"severity_score":9,"severity_version":9,"severity_source":9,"severity_vector":9,"severity_status":9},false,[30,36,40,45,49],{"url":31,"sources":32,"tags":34},"https://ubuntu.com/security/CVE-2020-6096",[33],"osv_ubuntu",[35],"REPORT",{"url":37,"sources":38,"tags":39},"https://talosintelligence.com/vulnerability_reports/TALOS-2020-1019",[33],[35],{"url":41,"sources":42,"tags":43},"https://ubuntu.com/security/notices/USN-4954-1",[33],[44],"Advisory",{"url":46,"sources":47,"tags":48},"https://ubuntu.com/security/notices/USN-5310-1",[33],[44],{"url":50,"sources":51,"tags":52},"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2020-6096",[33],[35],[],[],[56],{"source":33,"cvss_v2_0":9,"cvss_v3_0":57,"cvss_v3_1":62,"cvss_v4_0":9},{"baseScore":58,"baseSeverity":9,"vectorString":59,"impactScore":60,"exploitabilityScore":61},8.1,"CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H",9.8,5.6,{"baseScore":58,"baseSeverity":9,"vectorString":63,"impactScore":60,"exploitabilityScore":61},"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H",[65,75],{"ecosystem":66,"name":67,"vendor":68,"product":67,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":69,"purl_namespace":68,"purl_name":67,"source":9,"versions":70},"Ubuntu","eglibc","ubuntu","deb",[71],{"version":72,"is_range":73,"range_type":74,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":9,"version_end_type":9,"fixed_in":9},"all",true,"ecosystem",{"ecosystem":66,"name":76,"vendor":68,"product":76,"cpe_part":9,"purl_type":69,"purl_namespace":68,"purl_name":76,"source":9,"versions":77},"glibc",[78,82,85],{"version":79,"is_range":73,"range_type":74,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":80,"version_end_type":81,"fixed_in":9},"lt2_23_0ubuntu11_3","2.23-0ubuntu11.3","excluding",{"version":83,"is_range":73,"range_type":74,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":84,"version_end_type":81,"fixed_in":9},"lt2_27_3ubuntu1_5","2.27-3ubuntu1.5",{"version":86,"is_range":73,"range_type":74,"version_start":9,"version_start_type":9,"version_end":87,"version_end_type":81,"fixed_in":9},"lt2_31_0ubuntu9_7","2.31-0ubuntu9.7"]
