CVE-2018-13405canonicalubuntu_linux+71
EPSS score1.04%
The inode_init_owner function in fs/inode.c in the Linux kernel through 3.16 allows local users to create files with an unintended group ownership, in a scenario where a directory is SGID to a certain group and is writable by a user who is not a member of that group. Here, the non-member can trigger creation of a plain file whose group ownership is that group. The intended behavior was that the non-member can trigger creation of a directory (but not a plain file) whose group ownership is that group. The non-member can escalate privileges by making the plain file executable and SGID.CVE-2018-14634canonicalubuntu_linux+86KEVEPSS score14.69%
An integer overflow flaw was found in the Linux kernel's create_elf_tables() function. An unprivileged local user with access to SUID (or otherwise privileged) binary could use this flaw to escalate their privileges on the system. Kernel versions 2.6.x, 3.10.x and 4.14.x are believed to be vulnerable.CVE-2018-14468alpinetcpdump+25EPSS score3.98%
The FRF.16 parser in tcpdump before 4.9.3 has a buffer over-read in print-fr.c:mfr_print().CVE-2018-14880alpinetcpdump+25EPSS score5.34%
The OSPFv3 parser in tcpdump before 4.9.3 has a buffer over-read in print-ospf6.c:ospf6_print_lshdr().CVE-2018-5519f5 networks, inc.big-ip (ltm, aam, afm, analytics, apm, asm, dns, edge gateway, gtm, link controller, pem, webaccelerator, websafe)+13EPSS score0.98%
On F5 BIG-IP 13.0.0-13.1.0.5, 12.1.0-12.1.3.3, or 11.2.1-11.6.3.1, administrative users by way of undisclosed methods can exploit the ssldump utility to write to arbitrary file paths. For users who do not have Advanced Shell access (for example, any user when licensed for Appliance Mode), this allows more permissive file access than intended.CVE-2018-5390a10networksadvanced_core_operating_system+100EPSS score71.11%
Linux kernel versions 4.9+ can be forced to make very expensive calls to tcp_collapse_ofo_queue() and tcp_prune_ofo_queue() for every incoming packet which can lead to a denial of service.CVE-2018-5743alpinebind+49EPSS score6.46%
By design, BIND is intended to limit the number of TCP clients that can be connected at any given time. The number of allowed connections is a tunable parameter which, if unset, defaults to a conservative value for most servers. Unfortunately, the code which was intended to limit the number of simultaneous connections contained an error which could be exploited to grow the number of simultaneous connections beyond this limit. Versions affected: BIND 9.9.0 -> 9.10.8-P1, 9.11.0 -> 9.11.6, 9.12.0 -> 9.12.4, 9.14.0. BIND 9 Supported Preview Edition versions 9.9.3-S1 -> 9.11.5-S3, and 9.11.5-S5. Versions 9.13.0 -> 9.13.7 of the 9.13 development branch are also affected. Versions prior to BIND 9.9.0 have not been evaluated for vulnerability to CVE-2018-5743.CVE-2018-5517f5 networks, inc.big-ip (ltm, aam, afm, analytics, apm, asm, dns, edge gateway, gtm, link controller, pem, webaccelerator, websafe)+13EPSS score1.68%
On F5 BIG-IP 13.1.0-13.1.0.5, malformed TCP packets sent to a self IP address or a FastL4 virtual server may cause an interruption of service. The control plane is not exposed to this issue. This issue impacts the data plane virtual servers and self IPs.CVE-2018-5526f5 networks, inc.big-ip asm+1EPSS score1.96%
Under certain conditions, on F5 BIG-IP ASM 13.1.0-13.1.0.5, Behavioral DOS (BADOS) protection may fail during an attack.CVE-2018-5505f5 networks, inc.big-ip (asm and analytics)+2EPSS score2.04%
On F5 BIG-IP versions 13.1.0 - 13.1.0.3, when ASM and AVR are both provisioned, TMM may restart while processing DNS requests when the virtual server is configured with a DNS profile and the Protocol setting is set to TCP.CVE-2018-5535f5 networks, inc.big-ip (ltm, aam, afm, analytics, apm, asm, dns, edge gateway, fps, gtm, link controller, pem, webaccelerator)+13EPSS score2.57%
On F5 BIG-IP 14.0.0, 13.0.0-13.1.0, 12.1.0-12.1.3, or 11.5.1-11.6.3 specifically crafted HTTP responses, when processed by a Virtual Server with an associated QoE profile that has Video enabled, may cause TMM to incorrectly buffer response data causing the TMM to restart resulting in a Denial of Service.CVE-2018-5507f5 networks, inc.big-ip (ltm, aam, afm, analytics, apm, asm, dns, edge gateway, gtm, link controller, pem, webaccelerator, websafe)+13EPSS score1.09%
On F5 BIG-IP versions 13.0.0, 12.1.0-12.1.3.1, 11.6.1-11.6.2, or 11.5.1-11.5.5, vCMP guests running on VIPRION 2100, 4200 and 4300 series blades cannot correctly decrypt ciphertext from established SSL sessions with small MTU.CVE-2018-5391canonicalubuntu_linux+92EPSS score32.45%
The Linux kernel, versions 3.9+, is vulnerable to a denial of service attack with low rates of specially modified packets targeting IP fragment re-assembly. An attacker may cause a denial of service condition by sending specially crafted IP fragments. Various vulnerabilities in IP fragmentation have been discovered and fixed over the years. The current vulnerability (CVE-2018-5391) became exploitable in the Linux kernel with the increase of the IP fragment reassembly queue size.CVE-2018-5539f5 networks, inc.big-ip asm+1EPSS score1.76%
Under certain conditions, on F5 BIG-IP ASM 13.0.0-13.1.0.7, 12.1.0-12.1.3.5, 11.6.0-11.6.3.1, 11.5.1-11.5.6, or 11.2.1, when processing CSRF protections, the BIG-IP ASM bd process may restart and produce a core file.CVE-2018-5506f5 networks, inc.big-ip (ltm, aam, afm, analytics, apm, asm, dns, edge gateway, gtm, link controller, pem, webaccelerator, websafe)+13EPSS score0.72%
In F5 BIG-IP 13.0.0, 12.1.0-12.1.2, 11.6.1, 11.5.1-11.5.5, or 11.2.1 the Apache modules apache_auth_token_mod and mod_auth_f5_auth_token.cpp allow possible unauthenticated bruteforce on the em_server_ip authorization parameter to obtain which SSL client certificates used for mutual authentication between BIG-IQ or Enterprise Manager (EM) and managed BIG-IP devices.CVE-2018-5527f5 networks, inc.big-ip (ltm, aam, afm, analytics, apm, asm, dns, edge gateway, gtm, link controller, pem, webaccelerator, websafe)+13EPSS score2.54%
On BIG-IP 13.1.0-13.1.0.7, a remote attacker using undisclosed methods against virtual servers configured with a Client SSL or Server SSL profile that has the SSL Forward Proxy feature enabled can force the Traffic Management Microkernel (tmm) to leak memory. As a result, system memory usage increases over time, which may eventually cause a decrease in performance or a system reboot due to memory exhaustion.CVE-2018-5509f5 networks, inc.big-ip (ltm, aam, afm, apm, asm, link controller, pem, websafe)+8EPSS score2.76%
On F5 BIG-IP versions 13.0.0 or 12.1.0 - 12.1.3.1, when a specifically configured virtual server receives traffic of an undisclosed nature, TMM will crash and take the configured failover action, potentially causing a denial of service. The configuration which exposes this issue is not common and in general does not work when enabled in previous versions of BIG-IP. Starting in 12.1.0, BIG-IP will crash if the configuration which exposes this issue is enabled and the virtual server receives non TCP traffic. With the fix of this issue, additional configuration validation logic has been added to prevent this configuration from being applied to a virtual server. There is only data plane exposure to this issue with a non-standard configuration. There is no control plane exposure.CVE-2018-5514f5 networks, inc.big-ip (ltm, aam, afm, apm, asm, link controller, pem, webaccelerator, websafe)+13EPSS score3.81%
On F5 BIG-IP 13.1.0-13.1.0.5, maliciously crafted HTTP/2 request frames can lead to denial of service. There is data plane exposure for virtual servers when the HTTP2 profile is enabled. There is no control plane exposure to this issue.CVE-2018-5532f5 networks, inc.big-ip (ltm, aam, afm, analytics, apm, asm, dns, edge gateway, fps, gtm, link controller, pem, webaccelerator)+13EPSS score1.17%
On F5 BIG-IP 13.0.0, 12.1.0-12.1.2, 11.6.0-11.6.3.1, or 11.2.1-11.5.6 a domain name cached within the DNS Cache of TMM may continue to be resolved by the cache even after the parent server revokes the record, if the DNS Cache is receiving a stream of requests for the cached name.CVE-2018-5534f5 networks, inc.big-ip (ltm, aam, afm, analytics, apm, asm, dns, edge gateway, fps, gtm, link controller, pem, webaccelerator)+13EPSS score1.76%
