CVE-2026-109588freertosfreertos-kernel
EPSS score0.12%
Numeric truncation of the buffer length in the MPU buffer authorization check in FreeRTOS-Kernel V11.3.0 and V11.3.1 on the Arm Cortex-R82 (Armv8-R AArch64) MPU port might allow, under certain conditions, an unprivileged task on MPU-enabled builds to read or write privileged kernel memory beyond the validated buffer window, via a stream buffer system call.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version V11.3.2 or later.CVE-2026-109587freertosfreertos-kernelEPSS score0.14%
Incorrect authorization in the Arm Cortex-R82 (Armv8-R AArch64) MPU port in FreeRTOS-Kernel V11.3.0 and V11.3.1 might allow an unprivileged task on MPU-enabled builds to read and write privileged kernel memory outside the regions assigned to it, via a buffer argument passed to an MPU system call.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version V11.3.2 or later.CVE-2026-102552freertosfreertos-plus-tcpEPSS score0.23%
Improper verification of the source of a communication channel in the DNS resolver in Amazon FreeRTOS-Plus-TCP before V4.4.2 might allow remote third-party to insert a chosen address into the device's DNS cache via a forged DNS reply.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version V4.4.2 and enable ipconfigDNS_CHECK_REPLY_SOURCE_IP.CVE-2026-102551freertosfreertos-plus-tcpEPSS score0.27%
Improper verification of the source of a communication channel in the IPv6 Router Advertisement handler in Amazon FreeRTOS-Plus-TCP before V4.4.2 might allow a remote third-party to influence an endpoint's IPv6 default gateway, on-link prefix, and address configuration via a crafted Router Advertisement.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version V4.4.2.CVE-2024-38373amazonfreertos-plus-tcp+1EPSS score0.61%
FreeRTOS-Plus-TCP is a lightweight TCP/IP stack for FreeRTOS. FreeRTOS-Plus-TCP versions 4.0.0 through 4.1.0 contain a buffer over-read issue in the DNS Response Parser when parsing domain names in a DNS response. A carefully crafted DNS response with domain name length value greater than the actual domain name length, could cause the parser to read beyond the DNS response buffer. This issue affects applications using DNS functionality of the FreeRTOS-Plus-TCP stack. Applications that do not use DNS functionality are not affected, even when the DNS functionality is enabled. This vulnerability has been patched in version 4.1.1.CVE-2024-28115amazonfreertos+1EPSS score0.24%
FreeRTOS is a real-time operating system for microcontrollers. FreeRTOS Kernel versions through 10.6.1 do not sufficiently protect against local privilege escalation via Return Oriented Programming techniques should a vulnerability exist that allows code injection and execution. These issues affect ARMv7-M MPU ports, and ARMv8-M ports with Memory Protected Unit (MPU) support enabled (i.e. `configENABLE_MPU` set to 1). These issues are fixed in version 10.6.2 with a new MPU wrapper.CVE-2026-77235amazonfreertos+1EPSS score0.16%
Missing privilege verification in the secure context cleanup handler in FreeRTOS-Kernel before 11.3.1 might allow local users to cause a use-after-free condition in secure-world memory via the SVC handler for secure context deallocation. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 11.3.1 or later.CVE-2026-77237amazonfreertos+1EPSS score0.18%
Missing queue-set type validation in xQueueAddToSet() in the FreeRTOS-Kernel before 11.3.1 might allow an unprivileged task on MPU-enabled ports with configUSE_QUEUE_SETS=1 to read privileged kernel memory. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 11.3.1 or later.CVE-2026-77236amazonfreertos+1EPSS score0.16%
Missing minimum size validation in secure context allocation in FreeRTOS-Kernel before 11.3.1 might allow local users to corrupt secure-world heap metadata via an out-of-bounds write with an undersized stack size parameter. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 11.3.1 or later.CVE-2026-77234amazonfreertos+1EPSS score0.17%
Improper input validation in FreeRTOS-Kernel before 11.3.1 might allow an unprivileged task on MPU-enabled ports to execute code in privileged kernel context. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 11.3.1 or later.CVE-2026-8686freertoscoremqttEPSS score0.68%
Missing bounds validation in the MQTT v5.0 property parser in coreMQTT before 5.0.1 allows an MQTT broker to cause a denial of service by sending a crafted packet.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to v5.0.1.
