EPSS score
0.36%
A UI misrepresentation vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an OAuth application to gain unintended access to an organization's runner management. An attacker could exploit this by creating an OAuth application requesting the manage_runners:org scope and directing a victim user to authorize it, as the scope was not displayed on the authorization consent screen. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.21.2, 3.20.4, 3.19.8, 3.18.11, 3.17.17, 3.16.20. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
9.2CVE-2026-9312githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.59%
A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to send crafted requests to internal services by exploiting insufficient input validation in an upload endpoint. By injecting path traversal content into request parameters, an attacker could bypass the intended request flow and redirect internal API calls, potentially accessing internal services and exposing sensitive credentials. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.17.17, 3.18.11, 3.19.8, 3.20.4, and 3.21.2. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
5.3CVE-2026-14340githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.43%
An incorrect authorization vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed a user-to-server token scoped to a GitHub App installation to perform certain write operations on public repositories outside the token's intended scope. This was possible because the authorization check only verified that the installation had read permissions on the target repository rather than verifying that the token's installation was explicitly granted access to that repository. An attacker who obtained a victim's user-to-server token could create issues, issue comments, commit comments, and private vulnerability reports on any public repository, appearing as the victim user with no indication of the app involvement. This vulnerability was fixed by adding a repository scope check for user-to-server tokens issued by global apps.
8.8CVE-2026-4296githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.74%
An incorrect regular expression vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an attacker to bypass OAuth redirect URI validation. An attacker with knowledge of a first-party OAuth application's registered callback URL could craft a malicious authorization link that, when clicked by a victim, would redirect the OAuth authorization code to an attacker-controlled domain. This could allow the attacker to gain unauthorized access to the victim's account with the scopes granted to the OAuth application. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.20.1, 3.19.5, 3.18.8, 3.17.14, 3.16.17, 3.15.21, 3.14.26. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
8.8CVE-2026-76851githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.83%
A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed remote code execution on the instance. Insufficient network isolation allowed malicious pre-receive hook code to impersonate an internal service and redirect trusted internal requests to a privileged service, leading to elevated code execution. Exploitation required pre-receive hook networking to be enabled and either site administrator privileges or write access to a repository containing a configured pre-receive hook. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.17.20, 3.18.14, 3.19.11, 3.20.7, and 3.21.5. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
9.1CVE-2026-17556githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.80%
A path traversal vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to delete arbitrary files and directories on the instance, including the entire user storage directory containing Git LFS objects, release assets, attachments, and avatars. The X-GitHub-Request-Id request header was used without sanitization as a filesystem path segment for the upload buffer directory, so a traversal value pointed the buffer at an arbitrary path and the deferred cleanup routine recursively removed the traversed target. Exploitation required only network reachability to the instance and no authentication, and it worked even when private mode was enabled. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.21.4, 3.20.6, 3.19.10, 3.18.13 and 3.17.19. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
7.5CVE-2026-7541githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.66%
A denial of service vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to cause service disruption by sending crafted requests with deeply nested JSON payloads to an unauthenticated API endpoint. The endpoint parsed user-controlled JSON request bodies without size or depth limits, causing excessive CPU and memory consumption. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.20.2, 3.19.6, 3.18.9, 3.17.15, and 3.16.18. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
6.5CVE-2026-103620githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.61%
A missing authorization vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed a repository collaborator with write access to delete the current default branch through the GraphQL API and cause an attacker-controlled branch to become the new default. In repositories that required pull-request review but did not restrict branch deletion, this bypassed the review requirement and caused fresh clones and default-branch API requests to use attacker-controlled content. This vulnerability affected supported GitHub Enterprise Server releases in the 3.18, 3.19, 3.20, 3.21, and 3.22 series and was fixed in versions 3.18.16, 3.19.13, 3.20.9, 3.21.7, and 3.22.2. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
8.2CVE-2026-18730githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.29%
A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to cause the Manage API to send crafted outbound requests to an attacker-controlled host. An unauthenticated endpoint parsed an attacker-supplied cluster configuration and issued gateway-to-agent requests whose HMAC authenticated only a timestamp, not the request path or body. An attacker positioned to intercept the outbound request could capture this token and replay it against privileged management agent endpoints. High-availability deployments were not affected due to a topology restriction. This vulnerability affected GitHub Enterprise Server releases in the 3.17, 3.18, 3.19, 3.20, and 3.21 series and was fixed in versions 3.17.21, 3.18.15, 3.19.12, 3.20.8, and 3.21.6. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
5.3CVE-2026-5512githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.50%
An improper authorization vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an authenticated attacker to determine the names of private repositories by their numeric ID. The mobile upload policy API endpoint did not perform an early authorization check, and validation error messages included the full repository name for repositories the caller did not have access to. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.20.1, 3.19.5, 3.18.8, 3.17.14, 3.16.17, 3.15.21, and 3.14.26. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
8.9CVE-2026-5921githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.65%
A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an attacker to extract sensitive environment variables from the instance through a timing side-channel attack against the notebook rendering service. When private mode was disabled, the notebook viewer followed HTTP redirects without revalidating the destination host, enabling an unauthenticated SSRF to internal services. By chaining this with regex filter queries against an internal API and measuring response time differences, an attacker could infer secret values character by character. Exploitation required that private mode be disabled and that the attacker be able to chain the instance's open redirect endpoint through an external redirect to reach internal services. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.14.26, 3.15.21, 3.16.17, 3.17.14, 3.18.8, 3.19.5, and 3.20.1. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
9.6CVE-2026-5845githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.48%
An improper authorization vulnerability in scoped user-to-server (ghu_) token authorization in GitHub Enterprise Server allows an authenticated attacker to access private repositories outside the intended installation scope, which can include write operations, via an authorization fallback that treated a revoked/deleted installation as a global installation context, which could be chained with token revocation timing and SSH push attribution to obtain and reuse a victim-scoped token.
6.3CVE-2026-10585githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.32%
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript in another user's browser by injecting a crafted payload into the title of a Discussion in the Q&A category. The AnsweredQuestionStructuredDataComponent did not escape user-controlled Discussion titles before embedding them in a <script type="application/ld+json"> block, allowing the title to break out of the script context. The injection was escalated to a full cross-site scripting attack on GitHub Enterprise Server by leveraging JSONP callback support in the REST API to bypass the Content Security Policy. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.20.4, 3.19.8, 3.18.11, 3.17.17, 3.16.20. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
6.5CVE-2026-75101githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.29%
An authorization bypass vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed any authenticated user of the instance to read the raw diff or patch of pull requests in private repositories without authorization. Access tokens for raw pull request diffs and patches were scoped to the repository name and pull request number rather than to a globally unique repository identifier, so an attacker who created a repository and pull request matching a target's repository name and pull request number could use a token for their own repository to retrieve the private pull request's contents. Exploitation required the attacker to know the target repository's name and a valid pull request number. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.17.21, 3.18.15, 3.19.12, 3.20.8, and 3.21.6. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
7.5CVE-2026-15996githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.77%
A denial of service vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to cause excessive CPU consumption and exhaust the pool of request-handling worker processes by sending a crafted form-encoded HTTP POST request containing deeply nested parameters. Because request parameters were parsed before routing and authentication, any POST endpoint could be used to trigger the condition, which could render the instance unresponsive. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.20.3, 3.19.7, 3.18.10, and 3.17.16.
5.3CVE-2026-15783githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.45%
A missing authorization vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an authenticated user with write access to any repository to read metadata from private repositories they did not have access to, including private repository owners and names, branch names, commit SHAs, commit messages, and the pushing actor. The delegated bypass endpoint resolved a rule suite directly from an attacker-supplied, encoded identifier without verifying that the requesting user could read the rule suite's repository, and because these identifiers are sequential an attacker could enumerate them across the instance. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.17.18, 3.18.12, 3.19.9, 3.20.5, and 3.21.3. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
5.7CVE-2026-15007githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.64%
A denial of service vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an authenticated user to cause service disruption by supplying a repository release notes configuration file containing deeply nested YAML. When release notes were generated, the configuration file was parsed without a nesting depth limit, causing excessive resource consumption that could render the instance unresponsive. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.17.18, 3.18.12, 3.19.9, 3.20.5, and 3.21.3. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
8.6CVE-2026-15343githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.75%
A path traversal vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an attacker who had code execution inside the Dependabot updater container to write files to arbitrary repository paths, including GitHub Actions workflow files under .github/workflows/ as the path validation did not check the effective path which the attacker could control through the dependency file's directory and symlink target. If the repository used a pull_request_target workflow or had auto-merge enabled, an injected workflow could execute with access to the repository's GitHub Actions secrets. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.21.3, 3.20.5, 3.19.9, 3.18.12, 3.17.18.
8.8CVE-2026-96890githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.48%
A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed a repository contributor to cause the appliance to issue requests to attacker-controlled internal hosts, which could be chained to achieve remote code execution on the appliance. The secret scanning validator for GCP service account credentials trusted the token endpoint embedded in a committed credential and issued a request to it without restricting the destination. Exploitation required an authenticated user with permission to push to a repository on an instance with GitHub Advanced Security and secret scanning validity checks enabled, a non-default configuration. This vulnerability affected GitHub Enterprise Server 3.20, 3.21, and 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.20.9, 3.21.7, and 3.22.2. This vulnerability was reported through the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
6.5CVE-2026-6736githubenterprise_server
EPSS score
0.41%
An authentication bypass vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to create a local user account, bypassing the configured external identity provider. When external authentication was enabled, the signup endpoint did not properly enforce the authentication restriction, allowing account creation and session establishment without identity provider validation. The created account was limited to the default base permissions configured on the instance. Exploitation required network access to a GHES instance configured with an external authentication provider. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.20.2, 3.19.6, 3.18.9, 3.17.15, and 3.16.18.
