CVE-2025-32988alpinegnutls+5
EPSS score1.47%
A flaw was found in GnuTLS. A double-free vulnerability exists in GnuTLS due to incorrect ownership handling in the export logic of Subject Alternative Name (SAN) entries containing an otherName. If the type-id OID is invalid or malformed, GnuTLS will call asn1_delete_structure() on an ASN.1 node it does not own, leading to a double-free condition when the parent function or caller later attempts to free the same structure.
This vulnerability can be triggered using only public GnuTLS APIs and may result in denial of service or memory corruption, depending on allocator behavior.CVE-2020-13777alpinegnutls+25EPSS score22.28%
GnuTLS 3.6.x before 3.6.14 uses incorrect cryptography for encrypting a session ticket (a loss of confidentiality in TLS 1.2, and an authentication bypass in TLS 1.3). The earliest affected version is 3.6.4 (2018-09-24) because of an error in a 2018-09-18 commit. Until the first key rotation, the TLS server always uses wrong data in place of an encryption key derived from an application.CVE-2020-11501alpinegnutls+41EPSS score3.39%
GnuTLS 3.6.x before 3.6.13 uses incorrect cryptography for DTLS. The earliest affected version is 3.6.3 (2018-07-16) because of an error in a 2017-10-06 commit. The DTLS client always uses 32 '\0' bytes instead of a random value, and thus contributes no randomness to a DTLS negotiation. This breaks the security guarantees of the DTLS protocol.CVE-2020-24659alpinegnutls+28EPSS score3.83%
An issue was discovered in GnuTLS before 3.6.15. A server can trigger a NULL pointer dereference in a TLS 1.3 client if a no_renegotiation alert is sent with unexpected timing, and then an invalid second handshake occurs. The crash happens in the application's error handling path, where the gnutls_deinit function is called after detecting a handshake failure.CVE-2014-1959debiangnutls26+5EPSS score3.40%
lib/x509/verify.c in GnuTLS before 3.1.21 and 3.2.x before 3.2.11 treats version 1 X.509 certificates as intermediate CAs, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended restrictions by leveraging a X.509 V1 certificate from a trusted CA to issue new certificates.CVE-2014-0092debiangnutls26+10EPSS score29.86%
lib/x509/verify.c in GnuTLS before 3.1.22 and 3.2.x before 3.2.12 does not properly handle unspecified errors when verifying X.509 certificates from SSL servers, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof servers via a crafted certificate.CVE-2014-8564canonicalubuntu_linux+15EPSS score3.28%
The _gnutls_ecc_ansi_x963_export function in gnutls_ecc.c in GnuTLS 3.x before 3.1.28, 3.2.x before 3.2.20, and 3.3.x before 3.3.10 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds write) via a crafted (1) Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) certificate or (2) certificate signing requests (CSR), related to generating key IDs.CVE-2014-8155gnugnutlsEPSS score1.05%
GnuTLS before 2.9.10 does not verify the activation and expiration dates of CA certificates, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof servers via a certificate issued by a CA certificate that is (1) not yet valid or (2) no longer valid.CVE-2014-3466debiangnutls26+9EPSS score11.22%
Buffer overflow in the read_server_hello function in lib/gnutls_handshake.c in GnuTLS before 3.1.25, 3.2.x before 3.2.15, and 3.3.x before 3.3.4 allows remote servers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a long session id in a ServerHello message.CVE-2014-3468debianlibtasn1-6+16EPSS score3.79%
The asn1_get_bit_der function in GNU Libtasn1 before 3.6 does not properly report an error when a negative bit length is identified, which allows context-dependent attackers to cause out-of-bounds access via crafted ASN.1 data.CVE-2014-3465debiangnutls28+1EPSS score4.14%
The gnutls_x509_dn_oid_name function in lib/x509/common.c in GnuTLS 3.0 before 3.1.20 and 3.2.x before 3.2.10 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference) via a crafted X.509 certificate, related to a missing LDAP description for an OID when printing the DN.CVE-2014-3469debianlibtasn1-6+15EPSS score3.82%
The (1) asn1_read_value_type and (2) asn1_read_value functions in GNU Libtasn1 before 3.6 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and crash) via a NULL value in an ivalue argument.CVE-2014-3467debianlibtasn1-6+16EPSS score6.80%
Multiple unspecified vulnerabilities in the DER decoder in GNU Libtasn1 before 3.6, as used in GnuTLS, allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) via crafted ASN.1 data.CVE-2005-1431gnugnutls+3EPSS score2.22%
The "record packet parsing" in GnuTLS 1.2 before 1.2.3 and 1.0 before 1.0.25 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, possibly related to padding bytes in gnutils_cipher.c.CVE-2008-2377gnugnutlsEPSS score5.46%
Use-after-free vulnerability in the _gnutls_handshake_hash_buffers_clear function in lib/gnutls_handshake.c in libgnutls in GnuTLS 2.3.5 through 2.4.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via TLS transmission of data that is improperly used when the peer calls gnutls_handshake within a normal session, leading to attempted access to a deallocated libgcrypt handle.CVE-2008-1950gnugnutlsEPSS score4.95%
Integer signedness error in the _gnutls_ciphertext2compressed function in lib/gnutls_cipher.c in libgnutls in GnuTLS before 2.2.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (buffer over-read and crash) via a certain integer value in the Random field in an encrypted Client Hello message within a TLS record with an invalid Record Length, which leads to an invalid cipher padding length, aka GNUTLS-SA-2008-1-3.CVE-2008-1949gnugnutlsEPSS score5.77%
The _gnutls_recv_client_kx_message function in lib/gnutls_kx.c in libgnutls in gnutls-serv in GnuTLS before 2.2.4 continues to process Client Hello messages within a TLS message after one has already been processed, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL dereference and crash) via a TLS message containing multiple Client Hello messages, aka GNUTLS-SA-2008-1-2.CVE-2008-1948gnugnutlsEPSS score12.02%
The _gnutls_server_name_recv_params function in lib/ext_server_name.c in libgnutls in gnutls-serv in GnuTLS before 2.2.4 does not properly calculate the number of Server Names in a TLS 1.0 Client Hello message during extension handling, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a zero value for the length of Server Names, which leads to a buffer overflow in session resumption data in the pack_security_parameters function, aka GNUTLS-SA-2008-1-1.CVE-2008-4989canonicalubuntu_linux+11EPSS score1.88%
The _gnutls_x509_verify_certificate function in lib/x509/verify.c in libgnutls in GnuTLS before 2.6.1 trusts certificate chains in which the last certificate is an arbitrary trusted, self-signed certificate, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to insert a spoofed certificate for any Distinguished Name (DN).CVE-2022-2509alpinegnutls+36EPSS score2.25%
A vulnerability found in gnutls. This security flaw happens because of a double free error occurs during verification of pkcs7 signatures in gnutls_pkcs7_verify function.
