CVE-2021-20331mongodb incmongodb c driver+2
EPSS score0.62%
Specific versions of the MongoDB C# Driver may erroneously publish events containing authentication-related data to a command listener configured by an application. The published events may contain security-sensitive data when commands such as "saslStart", "saslContinue", "isMaster", "createUser", and "updateUser" are executed. Without due care, an application may inadvertently expose this authenticated-related information, e.g., by writing it to a log file. This issue only arises if an application enables the command listener feature (this is not enabled by default). This issue affects the MongoDB C# Driver v2.12 versions prior to and including 2.12.1.CVE-2021-32050mongodbmongodb+17EPSS score0.65%
Some MongoDB Drivers may erroneously publish events containing authentication-related data to a command listener configured by an application. The published events may contain security-sensitive data when specific authentication-related commands are executed.
Without due care, an application may inadvertently expose this sensitive information, e.g., by writing it to a log file. This issue only arises if an application enables the command listener feature (this is not enabled by default).
This issue affects the MongoDB C Driver 1.0.0 prior to 1.17.7, MongoDB PHP Driver 1.0.0 prior to 1.9.2, MongoDB Swift Driver 1.0.0 prior to 1.1.1, MongoDB Node.js Driver 3.6 prior to 3.6.10, MongoDB Node.js Driver 4.0 prior to 4.17.0 and MongoDB Node.js Driver 5.0 prior to 5.8.0. This issue also affects users of the MongoDB C++ Driver dependent on the C driver 1.0.0 prior to 1.17.7 (C++ driver prior to 3.7.0).CVE-2025-12119debianmongo-c-driver+4EPSS score0.21%
A mongoc_bulk_operation_t may read invalid memory if large options are passed.CVE-2020-12135debianduo-unix+4EPSS score1.17%
bson before 0.8 incorrectly uses int rather than size_t for many variables, parameters, and return values. In particular, the bson_ensure_space() parameter bytesNeeded could have an integer overflow via properly constructed bson input.CVE-2022-48282mongodb incmongodb .net/c# driver+2EPSS score1.38%
Under very specific circumstances (see Required configuration section below), a privileged user is able to cause arbitrary code to be executed which may cause further disruption to services. This is specific to applications written in C#. This affects all MongoDB .NET/C# Driver versions prior to and including v2.18.0
Following configuration must be true for the vulnerability to be applicable: * Application must written in C# taking arbitrary data from users and serializing data using _t without any validation AND
* Application must be running on a Windows host using the full .NET Framework, not .NET Core AND
* Application must have domain model class with a property/field explicitly of type System.Object or a collection of type System.Object (against MongoDB best practice) AND
* Malicious attacker must have unrestricted insert access to target database to add a _t discriminator."Following configuration must be true for the vulnerability to be applicableCVE-2024-7553ubuntumongo-c-driver+8EPSS score0.26%
Incorrect validation of files loaded from a local untrusted directory may allow local privilege escalation if the underlying operating systems is Windows. This may result in the application executing arbitrary behaviour determined by the contents of untrusted files. This issue affects MongoDB Server v5.0 versions prior to 5.0.27, MongoDB Server v6.0 versions prior to 6.0.16, MongoDB Server v7.0 versions prior to 7.0.12, MongoDB Server v7.3 versions prior 7.3.3, MongoDB C Driver versions prior to 1.26.2 and MongoDB PHP Driver versions prior to 1.18.1.
Required Configuration:
Only environments with Windows as the underlying operating system is affected by this issueCVE-2026-84966debianmongo-cxx-driver+2EPSS score0.14%
An incorrect numeric type conversion in the BSON document building component of the MongoDB C++ Driver may cause a length value to be interpreted incorrectly. When an application supplies an extremely large, non-terminated field name to the builder, the library may read memory outside the intended buffer and terminate the calling process. No authentication is required, but the calling application must pass the oversized name in a specific form.CVE-2026-84964debianmongo-c-driver+2EPSS score0.26%
A double free in the OpenSSL-based TLS certificate revocation checking path of the MongoDB C Driver can be reached by a TLS endpoint that the client already trusts. During the handshake, specially formed certificate data can cause the same heap object to be released twice. An unauthenticated party acting as the trusted endpoint may cause the connecting client application to terminate unexpectedly.CVE-2026-84969debianmongo-c-driver+2EPSS score0.27%
A memory-handling error in the BSON-to-JSON conversion helpers of the MongoDB C Driver can write a small number of bytes past the end of a heap buffer when a binary field is encoded and the output is cut short at a caller-configured length limit. A party who supplies the document content, with no privileges on the application that links the driver, may cause a small amount of data outside the intended buffer to be altered.CVE-2026-84970debianmongo-cxx-driver+2EPSS score0.12%
A numeric truncation weakness exists in the JSON parsing component of the MongoDB C++ Driver's BSON library. An actor who controls the text that an embedding application hands to the library's public JSON parsing interface, when that text is very large, can cause the library to read memory beyond the supplied buffer and return it to the caller, to silently accept only part of the input as a complete document, or to terminate the process. No MongoDB server, credentials, or non-default configuration is required; the effect is confined to the process that uses the library.CVE-2026-84963debianmongo-c-driver+2EPSS score0.31%
An incorrect numeric conversion in the JSON parsing component of the MongoDB C Driver's BSON library may cause an unusually large text value to be silently shortened, or the corresponding field to be omitted, while the parsing operation still reports success and returns no error. An unauthenticated party who can supply the input processed by an application that uses this component may cause that application to hold data that does not match what was submitted, which may result in unintended alteration of data.CVE-2026-84965debianmongo-c-driver+2EPSS score0.13%
An integer wraparound in an allocation size calculation in the BSON library's JSON parsing code can cause a buffer to be released while a following copy operation still writes through the stale pointer. On builds where sizes are 32 bits, an unauthenticated party able to supply a sufficiently large JSON input to an application that links the library may cause that application to terminate unexpectedly, resulting in denial of service.CVE-2026-9100debianmongo-c-driver+3EPSS score0.30%
The MongoDB C Driver's legacy GridFS API accepts malformed file metadata from the database without adequate validation. Crafted documents in a GridFS collection may cause any application that reads those files via the legacy API to either crash (via a division-by-zero) or silently leak process memory contents (via an out-of-bounds read).CVE-2026-4359debianmongo-c-driver+3EPSS score0.25%
A compromised third party cloud server or man-in-the-middle attacker could send a malformed HTTP response and cause a crash in applications using the MongoDB C driver.CVE-2026-106428debianmongo-c-driver+2EPSS score0.24%
An out-of-bounds read in SCRAM authentication response parsing in the MongoDB C Driver can read one byte beyond a fixed-size buffer when processing a malformed server-final message. A server or network intermediary able to provide this message before server-signature verification can cause the application using the driver to terminate. The extra byte is not returned through the protocol.CVE-2026-106438debianmongo-c-driver+2EPSS score0.11%
An incorrect calculation in Decimal128 string parsing in the MongoDB C Driver can accept certain over-precision inputs containing leading zeros instead of rejecting them. This produces a value different from the supplied text. An actor who can provide a decimal string to an embedding application, including through Extended JSON parsing, can cause the application to store or use an incorrect numeric value.CVE-2026-106430debianmongo-cxx-driver+2EPSS score0.18%
The MongoDB C++ Driver discards content after an embedded NUL byte in certain field and collection names accepted by the collection API. This can cause the driver and the calling application to interpret the same name differently. An authenticated actor who can influence a name passed by an affected application can cause the application to read distinct values from an unintended field or rename an unintended collection. These operations use the application's existing database credentials.CVE-2026-106431debianmongo-c-driver+2EPSS score0.10%
An off-by-one error in the BSON bulk document writer in the MongoDB C Driver can write one zero byte immediately past a heap allocation when a document ends at a specific buffer boundary. An actor who can influence the size of documents serialized by an embedding application can corrupt adjacent process memory or terminate the process. Reaching this issue requires the application to use the BSON bulk-writer API and produce a precise cumulative document size.CVE-2026-106437debianmongo-c-driver+2EPSS score0.10%
The BSON buffer-reservation API in the MongoDB C Driver can record a length smaller than the five-byte BSON minimum. Later append or comparison operations can underflow unsigned length calculations and read or write outside the document buffer. An actor who can influence the length supplied by an embedding application can cause the application to terminate or read or corrupt adjacent process memory. Reaching this issue requires the application to pass an undersized value to bson_reserve_buffer and then perform an affected operation.CVE-2026-93394debianmongo-c-driver+3EPSS score0.32%
A flaw in libmongoc's SCRAM authentication implementation caused the client to continue the authentication handshake and transmit the client proof even when a nonce mismatch was detected in the server's first message. An unauthorized party with a man-in-the-middle position could exploit this by injecting a crafted server-first-message containing a controlled salt and low iteration count, then capturing the resulting client proof to perform offline password cracking. This vulnerability is mitigated by TLS, which is standard in production deployments.
