Multiple buffer overflow vulnerabilities were found in the QUIC image decoding process of the SPICE remote display system, before spice-0.14.2-1. Both the SPICE client (spice-gtk) and server are affected by these flaws. These flaws allow a malicious client or server to send specially crafted messages that, when processed by the QUIC image compression algorithm, result in a process crash or potential code execution.CVE-2020-10711canonicalubuntu_linux+77EPSS score3.08%
A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in the Linux kernel's SELinux subsystem in versions before 5.7. This flaw occurs while importing the Commercial IP Security Option (CIPSO) protocol's category bitmap into the SELinux extensible bitmap via the' ebitmap_netlbl_import' routine. While processing the CIPSO restricted bitmap tag in the 'cipso_v4_parsetag_rbm' routine, it sets the security attribute to indicate that the category bitmap is present, even if it has not been allocated. This issue leads to a NULL pointer dereference issue while importing the same category bitmap into SELinux. This flaw allows a remote network user to crash the system kernel, resulting in a denial of service.CVE-2014-9584canonicalubuntu_linux+38EPSS score0.46%
The parse_rock_ridge_inode_internal function in fs/isofs/rock.c in the Linux kernel before 3.18.2 does not validate a length value in the Extensions Reference (ER) System Use Field, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information from kernel memory via a crafted iso9660 image.CVE-2014-9585canonicalubuntu_linux+38EPSS score0.56%
The vdso_addr function in arch/x86/vdso/vma.c in the Linux kernel through 3.18.2 does not properly choose memory locations for the vDSO area, which makes it easier for local users to bypass the ASLR protection mechanism by guessing a location at the end of a PMD.CVE-2012-0260canonicalubuntu_linux+11EPSS score2.33%
The JPEGWarningHandler function in coders/jpeg.c in ImageMagick before 6.7.6-3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a JPEG image with a crafted sequence of restart markers.CVE-2011-2492ubuntulinux+12EPSS score0.35%
The bluetooth subsystem in the Linux kernel before 3.0-rc4 does not properly initialize certain data structures, which allows local users to obtain potentially sensitive information from kernel memory via a crafted getsockopt system call, related to (1) the l2cap_sock_getsockopt_old function in net/bluetooth/l2cap_sock.c and (2) the rfcomm_sock_getsockopt_old function in net/bluetooth/rfcomm/sock.c.CVE-2011-2213ubuntulinux+12EPSS score0.41%
The inet_diag_bc_audit function in net/ipv4/inet_diag.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.39.3 does not properly audit INET_DIAG bytecode, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (kernel infinite loop) via crafted INET_DIAG_REQ_BYTECODE instructions in a netlink message, as demonstrated by an INET_DIAG_BC_JMP instruction with a zero yes value, a different vulnerability than CVE-2010-3880.CVE-2011-2022linuxlinux_kernel+6EPSS score0.38%
The agp_generic_remove_memory function in drivers/char/agp/generic.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.38.5 does not validate a certain start parameter, which allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service (system crash) via a crafted AGPIOC_UNBIND agp_ioctl ioctl call, a different vulnerability than CVE-2011-1745.CVE-2011-1593canonicalubuntu_linux+7EPSS score0.57%
Multiple integer overflows in the next_pidmap function in kernel/pid.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.38.4 allow local users to cause a denial of service (system crash) via a crafted (1) getdents or (2) readdir system call.CVE-2011-1182linuxlinux_kernel+6EPSS score0.48%
kernel/signal.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.39 allows local users to spoof the uid and pid of a signal sender via a sigqueueinfo system call.CVE-2011-1745linuxlinux_kernel+6EPSS score0.38%
Integer overflow in the agp_generic_insert_memory function in drivers/char/agp/generic.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.38.5 allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service (system crash) via a crafted AGPIOC_BIND agp_ioctl ioctl call.CVE-2011-1746linuxlinux_kernel+6EPSS score0.42%
Multiple integer overflows in the (1) agp_allocate_memory and (2) agp_create_user_memory functions in drivers/char/agp/generic.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.38.5 allow local users to trigger buffer overflows, and consequently cause a denial of service (system crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact, via vectors related to calls that specify a large number of memory pages.CVE-2011-1093linuxlinux_kernel+5EPSS score3.48%
The dccp_rcv_state_process function in net/dccp/input.c in the Datagram Congestion Control Protocol (DCCP) implementation in the Linux kernel before 2.6.38 does not properly handle packets for a CLOSED endpoint, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and OOPS) by sending a DCCP-Close packet followed by a DCCP-Reset packet.CVE-2017-7824debianfirefox-esr+12EPSS score3.52%
A buffer overflow occurs when drawing and validating elements with the ANGLE graphics library, used for WebGL content. This is due to an incorrect value being passed within the library during checks and results in a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 56, Firefox ESR < 52.4, and Thunderbird < 52.4.CVE-2017-7829canonicalubuntu_linux+9EPSS score1.76%
It is possible to spoof the sender's email address and display an arbitrary sender address to the email recipient. The real sender's address is not displayed if preceded by a null character in the display string. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.5.2.CVE-2017-7847debianthunderbird+8EPSS score1.59%
Crafted CSS in an RSS feed can leak and reveal local path strings, which may contain user name. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.5.2.CVE-2017-10661debianlinux+23EPSS score13.38%
Race condition in fs/timerfd.c in the Linux kernel before 4.10.15 allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service (list corruption or use-after-free) via simultaneous file-descriptor operations that leverage improper might_cancel queueing.CVE-2024-0229chainguardxorg-server+15EPSS score1.23%
An out-of-bounds memory access flaw was found in the X.Org server. This issue can be triggered when a device frozen by a sync grab is reattached to a different master device. This issue may lead to an application crash, local privilege escalation (if the server runs with extended privileges), or remote code execution in SSH X11 forwarding environments.CVE-2024-3183debianfreeipa+60EPSS score2.05%
A vulnerability was found in FreeIPA in a way when a Kerberos TGS-REQ is encrypted using the client’s session key. This key is different for each new session, which protects it from brute force attacks. However, the ticket it contains is encrypted using the target principal key directly. For user principals, this key is a hash of a public per-principal randomly-generated salt and the user’s password.
If a principal is compromised it means the attacker would be able to retrieve tickets encrypted to any principal, all of them being encrypted by their own key directly. By taking these tickets and salts offline, the attacker could run brute force attacks to find character strings able to decrypt tickets when combined to a principal salt (i.e. find the principal’s password).
