CVE-2018-1147tenablenessus+1
EPSS score1.11%
In Nessus before 7.1.0, a XSS vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote authenticated attacker could create and upload a .nessus file, which may be viewed by an administrator allowing for the execution of arbitrary script code in a user's browser session. In other scenarios, XSS could also occur by altering variables from the Advanced Settings.CVE-2018-1148tenablenessus+1EPSS score0.73%
In Nessus before 7.1.0, Session Fixation exists due to insufficient session management within the application. An authenticated attacker could maintain system access due to session fixation after a user password change.CVE-2018-1141tenablenessusEPSS score0.23%
When installing Nessus to a directory outside of the default location, Nessus versions prior to 7.0.3 did not enforce secure permissions for sub-directories. This could allow for local privilege escalation if users had not secured the directories in the installation location.CVE-2018-20843alpineexpat+40EPSS score7.11%
In libexpat in Expat before 2.2.7, XML input including XML names that contain a large number of colons could make the XML parser consume a high amount of RAM and CPU resources while processing (enough to be usable for denial-of-service attacks).CVE-2018-5407alpineopenssl+33EPSS score3.42%
Simultaneous Multi-threading (SMT) in processors can enable local users to exploit software vulnerable to timing attacks via a side-channel timing attack on 'port contention'.CVE-2021-20099tenablenessusEPSS score0.43%
Nessus Agent 8.2.4 and earlier for Windows were found to contain multiple local privilege escalation vulnerabilities which could allow an authenticated, local administrator to run specific Windows executables as the Nessus host. This is different than CVE-2021-20100.CVE-2021-20079tenablenessusEPSS score0.61%
Nessus versions 8.13.2 and earlier were found to contain a privilege escalation vulnerability which could allow a Nessus administrator user to upload a specially crafted file that could lead to gaining administrator privileges on the Nessus host.CVE-2021-20106tenablenessusEPSS score1.29%
Nessus Agent versions 8.2.5 and earlier were found to contain a privilege escalation vulnerability which could allow a Nessus administrator user to upload a specially crafted file that could lead to gaining administrator privileges on the Nessus host.CVE-2021-20100tenablenessusEPSS score0.47%
Nessus Agent 8.2.4 and earlier for Windows were found to contain multiple local privilege escalation vulnerabilities which could allow an authenticated, local administrator to run specific Windows executables as the Nessus host. This is different than CVE-2021-20099.CVE-2021-20135tenablenessusEPSS score0.31%
Nessus versions 8.15.2 and earlier were found to contain a local privilege escalation vulnerability which could allow an authenticated, local administrator to run specific executables on the Nessus Agent host. Tenable has included a fix for this issue in Nessus 10.0.0. The installation files can be obtained from the Tenable Downloads Portal (https://www.tenable.com/downloads/nessus).CVE-2021-46143alpineexpat+42EPSS score4.22%
In doProlog in xmlparse.c in Expat (aka libexpat) before 2.4.3, an integer overflow exists for m_groupSize.CVE-2021-45960alpineexpat+25EPSS score4.35%
In Expat (aka libexpat) before 2.4.3, a left shift by 29 (or more) places in the storeAtts function in xmlparse.c can lead to realloc misbehavior (e.g., allocating too few bytes, or only freeing memory).CVE-2021-3450alpineopenssl+37EPSS score18.34%
The X509_V_FLAG_X509_STRICT flag enables additional security checks of the certificates present in a certificate chain. It is not set by default. Starting from OpenSSL version 1.1.1h a check to disallow certificates in the chain that have explicitly encoded elliptic curve parameters was added as an additional strict check. An error in the implementation of this check meant that the result of a previous check to confirm that certificates in the chain are valid CA certificates was overwritten. This effectively bypasses the check that non-CA certificates must not be able to issue other certificates. If a "purpose" has been configured then there is a subsequent opportunity for checks that the certificate is a valid CA. All of the named "purpose" values implemented in libcrypto perform this check. Therefore, where a purpose is set the certificate chain will still be rejected even when the strict flag has been used. A purpose is set by default in libssl client and server certificate verification routines, but it can be overridden or removed by an application. In order to be affected, an application must explicitly set the X509_V_FLAG_X509_STRICT verification flag and either not set a purpose for the certificate verification or, in the case of TLS client or server applications, override the default purpose. OpenSSL versions 1.1.1h and newer are affected by this issue. Users of these versions should upgrade to OpenSSL 1.1.1k. OpenSSL 1.0.2 is not impacted by this issue. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1k (Affected 1.1.1h-1.1.1j).CVE-2021-3449alpineopenssl+103EPSS score63.54%
An OpenSSL TLS server may crash if sent a maliciously crafted renegotiation ClientHello message from a client. If a TLSv1.2 renegotiation ClientHello omits the signature_algorithms extension (where it was present in the initial ClientHello), but includes a signature_algorithms_cert extension then a NULL pointer dereference will result, leading to a crash and a denial of service attack. A server is only vulnerable if it has TLSv1.2 and renegotiation enabled (which is the default configuration). OpenSSL TLS clients are not impacted by this issue. All OpenSSL 1.1.1 versions are affected by this issue. Users of these versions should upgrade to OpenSSL 1.1.1k. OpenSSL 1.0.2 is not impacted by this issue. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1k (Affected 1.1.1-1.1.1j).CVE-2016-1000028tenablenessusEPSS score0.86%
Tenable Nessus before 6.8 has a stored XSS issue that requires admin-level authentication to the Nessus UI, and would only potentially impact other admins. (Tenable ID 5198).CVE-2016-1000029tenablenessusEPSS score0.86%
Tenable Nessus before 6.8 has a stored XSS issue that requires admin-level authentication to the Nessus UI, and would potentially impact other admins (Tenable IDs 5218 and 5269).CVE-2016-9260tenablenessusEPSS score1.25%
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Tenable Nessus before 6.9 allows remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via vectors related to handling of .nessus files.CVE-2016-9259tenablenessusEPSS score0.87%

The duration function in the moment package before 2.11.2 for Node.js allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via a long string, aka a "regular expression Denial of Service (ReDoS)."CVE-2025-36630tenablenessusEPSS score0.19%
In Tenable Nessus versions prior to 10.8.5 on a Windows host, it was found that a non-administrative user could overwrite arbitrary local system files with log content at SYSTEM privilege.
