CVE-2026-67416debianrabbitmq-server+2
EPSS score0.54%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. From 4.0.0 until 4.0.24, 4.1.15, 4.2.10, and 4.3.4, the optimized AMQP 1.0 server_mode parser in deps/amqp10_common/src/amqp10_binary_parser.erl matches the textual prefixes of symbolic data, sequence, and value body descriptors without verifying their encoded symbol lengths. An authenticated AMQP 1.0 publisher with write permission can submit a well-formed unknown descriptor that begins with a registered body descriptor, and RabbitMQ misclassifies and stores the bytes as a standard body section. Strict AMQP 1.0 consumers can terminate while decoding the stored entry. For bodies misclassified as data, AMQP 0-9-1 or other cross-protocol conversion performs full body decoding and can terminate the consumer protocol process, with acknowledgement-required delivery permitting repeated failures. Sequence and value classifications are normally transported as opaque encoded payloads on that conversion path. The broker remains alive, and the issue does not bypass routing or authorization. This issue is fixed in versions 4.0.24, 4.1.15, 4.2.10, and 4.3.4.CVE-2026-67414debianrabbitmq-server+2EPSS score0.54%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. From 4.0.0 until 4.0.24, 4.1.15, 4.2.10, and 4.3.4, deps/amqp10_common/src/amqp10_binary_parser.erl materializes each element of AMQP 1.0 arrays whose shared constructor has zero width, while limiting only the number of elements in each array and not the aggregate arrays in a frame. After completing SASL authentication, a low-privilege client can send an ordinary frame containing many individually permitted arrays, causing a small frame to expand into a very large reader-process heap before later frame validation or authorization. Because deps/rabbit/src/rabbit_amqp_reader.erl clears the pre-authentication max_heap_size guard after login, repeated or concurrent frames can trigger the node-wide memory alarm, block publishers, or exhaust broker memory. This issue is fixed in versions 4.0.24, 4.1.15, 4.2.10, and 4.3.4.CVE-2026-67418debianrabbitmq-server+2EPSS score0.40%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. From 3.13.0 until 3.13.19, 4.0.24, 4.1.15, 4.2.10, and 4.3.5, the MQTT 5 parser in deps/rabbitmq_mqtt/src/rabbit_mqtt_packet.erl accepts Request-Problem-Information on PUBLISH packets even though the property is valid only for CONNECT. An authenticated publisher with topic write permission can cause the broker to store and route that inapplicable property to a separately authenticated matching subscriber. When the subscriber path serializes the outbound PUBLISH, serialise_prop/2 has no matching clause, and the uncontained function_clause exception closes the victim MQTT or Web MQTT connection. The publisher connection and broker remain available, and queued replay, retained-message persistence, and broker-wide denial of service were not established. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.19, 4.0.24, 4.1.15, 4.2.10, and 4.3.5.CVE-2021-32719debianrabbitmq-server+3EPSS score1.42%
RabbitMQ is a multi-protocol messaging broker. In rabbitmq-server prior to version 3.8.18, when a federation link was displayed in the RabbitMQ management UI via the `rabbitmq_federation_management` plugin, its consumer tag was rendered without proper <script> tag sanitization. This potentially allows for JavaScript code execution in the context of the page. The user must be signed in and have elevated permissions (manage federation upstreams and policies) for this to occur. The vulnerability is patched in RabbitMQ 3.8.18. As a workaround, disable the `rabbitmq_federation_management` plugin and use [CLI tools](https://www.rabbitmq.com/cli.html) instead.CVE-2021-32718debianrabbitmq-server+4EPSS score1.43%
RabbitMQ is a multi-protocol messaging broker. In rabbitmq-server prior to version 3.8.17, a new user being added via management UI could lead to the user's bane being rendered in a confirmation message without proper `<script>` tag sanitization, potentially allowing for JavaScript code execution in the context of the page. In order for this to occur, the user must be signed in and have elevated permissions (other user management). The vulnerability is patched in RabbitMQ 3.8.17. As a workaround, disable `rabbitmq_management` plugin and use CLI tools for management operations and Prometheus and Grafana for metrics and monitoring.CVE-2025-30219debianrabbitmq-server+12EPSS score0.21%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Versions prior to 4.0.3 are vulnerable to a sophisticated attack that could modify virtual host name on disk and then make it unrecoverable (with other on disk file modifications) can lead to arbitrary JavaScript code execution in the browsers of management UI users. When a virtual host on a RabbitMQ node fails to start, recent versions
will display an error message (a notification) in the management UI. The error message includes virtual host name, which was not escaped prior to open source RabbitMQ 4.0.3 and Tanzu RabbitMQ 4.0.3, 3.13.8. An attack that both makes a virtual host fail to start and creates a new virtual host name with an XSS code snippet or changes the name of an existing virtual host on disk could trigger arbitrary JavaScript code execution in the management UI (the user's browser). Open source RabbitMQ `4.0.3` and Tanzu RabbitMQ `4.0.3` and `3.13.8` patch the issue.CVE-2025-50200broadcomrabbitmq_server+10EPSS score0.21%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. In versions 3.13.7 and prior, RabbitMQ is logging authorization headers in plaintext encoded in base64. When querying RabbitMQ api with HTTP/s with basic authentication it creates logs with all headers in request, including authorization headers which show base64 encoded username:password. This is easy to decode and afterwards could be used to obtain control to the system depending on credentials. This issue has been patched in version 4.0.8.CVE-2022-31008broadcomrabbitmq_server+8EPSS score0.40%
RabbitMQ is a multi-protocol messaging and streaming broker. In affected versions the shovel and federation plugins perform URI obfuscation in their worker (link) state. The encryption key used to encrypt the URI was seeded with a predictable secret. This means that in case of certain exceptions related to Shovel and Federation plugins, reasonably easily deobfuscatable data could appear in the node log. Patched versions correctly use a cluster-wide secret for that purpose. This issue has been addressed and Patched versions: `3.10.2`, `3.9.18`, `3.8.32` are available. Users unable to upgrade should disable the Shovel and Federation plugins.CVE-2024-51988ubunturabbitmq-server+1EPSS score0.36%
RabbitMQ is a feature rich, multi-protocol messaging and streaming broker. In affected versions queue deletion via the HTTP API was not verifying the `configure` permission of the user. Users who had all of the following: 1. Valid credentials, 2. Some permissions for the target virtual host & 3. HTTP API access. could delete queues it had no (deletion) permissions for. This issue has been addressed in version 3.12.11 of the open source rabbitMQ release and in versions 1.5.2, 3.13.0, and 4.0.0 of the tanzu release. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade may disable management plugin and use, for example, Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring.CVE-2026-61837broadcomrabbitmq_server+3EPSS score0.26%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. From 4.0.0 until 4.3.3, 4.2.9, 4.1.14, and 4.0.23, AMQP 1.0 management GET /bindings exposes full binding topology to any authenticated AMQP user without resource/management permission checks. the AMQP 1.0 HTTP-over-AMQP management endpoint GET /bindings (the rabbitamqpmanagement handler) enumerates bindings between an arbitrary source exchange and destination queue/exchange in the caller's virtual host without performing any resource-level permission check. Unlike every sibling operation in the same module (which call checkresourceaccess / bindingchecks), the GET handler ignores the authenticated User and returns the binding list unchanged. As a result, any authenticated AMQP 1.0 client that can open a management link pair , including users with no management/monitoring/policymaker/administrator tag , can enumerate the complete binding topology (source exchanges, destination queues/exchanges, routing keys, and binding arguments) of the virtual host they can access. The equivalent HTTP management API (GET /api/bindings) Confidentiality impact: a non-management AMQP 1.0 user can enumerate the complete routing topology of any virtual host it can connect to , every (source exchange, destination queue/exchange, routing key, binding arguments) This issue is fixed in versions 4.3.3, 4.2.9, 4.1.14, and 4.0.23.CVE-2026-66069debianrabbitmq-server+2EPSS score0.40%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to versions 4.1.13, 4.2.7, and 4.3.0, is_authorized/2 uses is_authorized_monitor for all methods. DELETE resets rabbit_core_metrics:reset_auth_attempt_metrics(). Impact is cosmetic (counters only, no log erasure), but inconsistent with rabbit_mgmt_wm_reset.erl which requires admin for the analogous operation. A monitoring-tagged user can reset the per-node authentication-attempt counters via DELETE /api/auth/attempts/:node, erasing evidence of brute-force activity. The sibling endpoint wm_reset requires administrator. Preconditions include Management plugin enabled monitoring tag. This issue is fixed in versions 4.1.13, 4.2.7, and 4.3.0.CVE-2026-66073broadcomrabbitmq_server+3EPSS score0.41%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. From 3.13.0 until 3.13.15 and 4.0.20 and 4.1.11 and 4.2.6, Atom table exhaustion via management API node field. pUT /api/queues/:vhost/:name (and the exchanges and bindings endpoints) accepts a node JSON field. The value goes through rabbitnodes:make → listtoatom with no cluster membership check first. Each unique value permanently leaks one atom. A March 2026 refactoring (ea61ce2563) introduced safe helpers in rabbitmgmtnodes.erl (parsenodename, safeatom, and requirenodename, using binarytoexistingatom) and fixed several callers (QQ replica ops, wmauthattempts, wmnodememoryets, getsortreverse, and rabbitfederationmgmt), but getnode/1 in rabbitmgmtutil.erl:880-885, the primary vector used by directrequest/6, was not Roughly 900K requests crash the VM via systemlimit, and all tenants lose Any user with the management tag and one vhost, the lowest privilege This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15 and 4.0.20 and 4.1.11 and 4.2.6.CVE-2026-66068debianrabbitmq-server+2EPSS score0.12%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.0, ?LOG_DEBUG("shutting down Shovel '~ts', ... Shovel state: ~tp", [Name, State]) formats the entire state map. The 'uris' field holds plaintext URIs after credentials_obfuscation:decrypt (called in rabbit_shovel_util:deobfuscated_uris/2). No format_status/1,2 callback exists in rabbit_shovel_worker to redact it. Triggered when an autodelete shovel (src-delete-after = N) completes. With DEBUG logging enabled, autodelete-shovel completion writes the full shovel state map , including decrypted amqp://user:password@host/ URIs , to the broker log file. Preconditions include Shovel plugin enabled with URI-embedded credentials DEBUG log level (non-default) Autodelete shovel configuration Attacker has log read access. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.0.CVE-2026-66078broadcomrabbitmq_server+3EPSS score0.38%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. From 3.13.0 until 3.13.15 and 4.0.20 and 4.1.11 and 4.2.6, protected tag bypass via bulk-delete. dELETE /api/users/:name refuses to delete users tagged protected (rabbitmgmtwmuser:deleteresource/2 checks isprotecteduser). POST /api/users/bulk-delete iterates the supplied username list and calls rabbitauthbackendinternal:deleteuser/2 directly , that function has no protected-tag check , so the guard is silently An administrator can delete protected-tagged service accounts via the bulk endpoint, bypassing a safeguard the test suite confirms is rabbitmqmanagement enabled Attacker has the administrator tag A protected-tagged user. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15 and 4.0.20 and 4.1.11 and 4.2.6.CVE-2026-66067debianrabbitmq-server+2EPSS score0.35%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to versions 4.2.7 and 4.3.1, The stream open handler calls only check_vhost_access; it omits the node/vhost/user connection-limit checks that rabbit_reader performs for AMQP. A developer %% FIXME comment at the cited line explicitly acknowledges the gap. No compensating enforcement exists in connection tracking or elsewhere in rabbitmq_stream. An authenticated tenant can fully bypass operator-configured per-user and per-vhost connection caps by connecting via port 5552 instead of 5672. Preconditions include rabbitmq_stream plugin enabled Authenticated stream-protocol credentials Operator relies on per-user/per-vhost connection limits for tenant isolation. This issue is fixed in versions 4.2.7 and 4.3.1.CVE-2026-66072debianrabbitmq-server+2EPSS score0.33%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.1, get_chunk_selector/1 calls binary_to_atom on the raw client-supplied <<"chunk_selector">> property from post-auth subscribe and resolve_offset_spec frames, with no whitelist and no existing guard. An authenticated stream client with read access to any stream can crash the broker node. Preconditions include rabbitmq_stream plugin enabled Authenticated stream-protocol user with read access to at least one stream. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.1.CVE-2026-66075debianrabbitmq-server+2EPSS score0.24%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.1, is_authorized/2 for the /federation-links/.../restart route uses is_authorized_monitor (accepts the monitoring tag), while allowed_methods permits DELETE and delete_resource/2 triggers rabbit_federation_link_sup:restart. There is no per-method elevation check and no comment marking it intentional. A read-only monitoring user can restart any federation link , a state-changing operation that disrupts message flow. Preconditions include rabbitmq_federation + rabbitmq_federation_management plugins enabled Attacker has credentials with the monitoring tag. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.1.CVE-2026-66080debianrabbitmq-server+2EPSS score0.28%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to versions 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.0, validate_partitions only checks that the requested partition count is at least 1, with no upper bound. A large count such as lists:seq(0, 500000000) allocates roughly 8GB. Preconditions include The rabbitmq_stream_management plugin must be enabled. The caller needs the management tag and access to the target vhost.. This issue is fixed in versions 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.0.CVE-2026-66077debianrabbitmq-server+2EPSS score0.30%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, and 4.2.6, The management UI uses EJS 1.0 in which <%= ... %> does NOT HTML-escape. connection.ejs:135 renders <%= connection.ssl_details.peer_cert_subject %> (and peer_cert_issuer) directly into the page. The same pattern appears in streamConnection.ejs:102,106,110. The values come from rabbit_ssl:peer_cert_subject/1 which formats the DN as a string without HTML escaping. The verifier corrected the original researcher's claim: this is reachable only when the listener is configured with verify_peer (so the certificate must be signed by a CA in the broker's trust store, not arbitrary self-signed); however, in deployments using mTLS for client authentication, any user who can request a certificate from the organisational CA controls the Subject CN. An attacker who can obtain a TLS client certificate signed by a CA the broker trusts (with verify_peer enabled) can embed JavaScript in the certificate's Subject DN. When any administrator views that connection in the management UI, the script executes in the admin's browser session, allowing full account takeover (create users, export definitions, etc.). The management UI's CSP includes 'unsafe-inline', so inline script execution is not blocked. Preconditions include TLS listener configured with ssl_options.verify = verify_peer Attacker can obtain a CA-signed client certificate with attacker-chosen Subject (e.g. self-service corporate PKI, or rabbitmq_trust_store plugin in use) Administrator views the connection detail page. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, and 4.2.6.CVE-2026-66076debianrabbitmq-server+2EPSS score0.27%
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.0, is_authorized/2 calls rabbit_mgmt_util:is_authorized/2, which checks only the management tag, instead of is_authorized_vhost/2. The /api/queues/quorum/:vhost/:queue/status handler reads the vhost from the path without checking that the user can access it. Any management-tagged user can therefore read Raft status, including leader, members, term, and commit index, for quorum queues in inaccessible vhosts, exposing cross-tenant queue names and cluster topology. The management plugin must be enabled and the attacker must have a management tag. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.0.
