CVE-2025-54574debiansquid+3
EPSS score23.51%
Squid is a caching proxy for the Web. In versions 6.3 and below, Squid is vulnerable to a heap buffer overflow and possible remote code execution attack when processing URN due to incorrect buffer management. This has been fixed in version 6.4. To work around this issue, disable URN access permissions.CVE-2025-59362alpinesquid+20EPSS score0.41%
Squid through 7.1 mishandles ASN.1 encoding of long SNMP OIDs. This occurs in asn_build_objid in lib/snmplib/asn1.c.CVE-2025-62168alpinesquid+31EPSS score63.36%
Squid is a caching proxy for the Web. In Squid versions prior to 7.2, a failure to redact HTTP authentication credentials in error handling allows information disclosure. The vulnerability allows a script to bypass browser security protections and learn the credentials a trusted client uses to authenticate. This potentially allows a remote client to identify security tokens or credentials used internally by a web application using Squid for backend load balancing. These attacks do not require Squid to be configured with HTTP authentication. The vulnerability is fixed in version 7.2. As a workaround, disable debug information in administrator mailto links generated by Squid by configuring squid.conf with email_err_data off.CVE-2020-11945alpinesquid+9EPSS score27.25%
An issue was discovered in Squid before 5.0.2. A remote attacker can replay a sniffed Digest Authentication nonce to gain access to resources that are otherwise forbidden. This occurs because the attacker can overflow the nonce reference counter (a short integer). Remote code execution may occur if the pooled token credentials are freed (instead of replayed as valid credentials).CVE-2020-14058debiansquid+3EPSS score2.54%
An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.12 and 5.x before 5.0.3. Due to use of a potentially dangerous function, Squid and the default certificate validation helper are vulnerable to a Denial of Service when opening a TLS connection to an attacker-controlled server for HTTPS. This occurs because unrecognized error values are mapped to NULL, but later code expects that each error value is mapped to a valid error string.CVE-2020-14059opensusesquid&distro=openSUSE Leap 15.1+10EPSS score4.41%
An issue was discovered in Squid 5.x before 5.0.3. Due to an Incorrect Synchronization, a Denial of Service can occur when processing objects in an SMP cache because of an Ipc::Mem::PageStack::pop ABA problem during access to the memory page/slot management list.CVE-2020-25097alpinesquid+17EPSS score7.34%
An issue was discovered in Squid through 4.13 and 5.x through 5.0.4. Due to improper input validation, it allows a trusted client to perform HTTP Request Smuggling and access services otherwise forbidden by the security controls. This occurs for certain uri_whitespace configuration settings.CVE-2020-24606alpinesquid+8EPSS score4.96%
Squid before 4.13 and 5.x before 5.0.4 allows a trusted peer to perform Denial of Service by consuming all available CPU cycles during handling of a crafted Cache Digest response message. This only occurs when cache_peer is used with the cache digests feature. The problem exists because peerDigestHandleReply() livelocking in peer_digest.cc mishandles EOF.CVE-2020-15049alpinesquid+20EPSS score5.71%
An issue was discovered in http/ContentLengthInterpreter.cc in Squid before 4.12 and 5.x before 5.0.3. A Request Smuggling and Poisoning attack can succeed against the HTTP cache. The client sends an HTTP request with a Content-Length header containing "+\ "-" or an uncommon shell whitespace character prefix to the length field-value.CVE-2020-15810alpinesquid+8EPSS score2.43%
An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.13 and 5.x before 5.0.4. Due to incorrect data validation, HTTP Request Smuggling attacks may succeed against HTTP and HTTPS traffic. This leads to cache poisoning. This allows any client, including browser scripts, to bypass local security and poison the proxy cache and any downstream caches with content from an arbitrary source. When configured for relaxed header parsing (the default), Squid relays headers containing whitespace characters to upstream servers. When this occurs as a prefix to a Content-Length header, the frame length specified will be ignored by Squid (allowing for a conflicting length to be used from another Content-Length header) but relayed upstream.CVE-2020-15811alpinesquid+8EPSS score4.07%
An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.13 and 5.x before 5.0.4. Due to incorrect data validation, HTTP Request Splitting attacks may succeed against HTTP and HTTPS traffic. This leads to cache poisoning. This allows any client, including browser scripts, to bypass local security and poison the browser cache and any downstream caches with content from an arbitrary source. Squid uses a string search instead of parsing the Transfer-Encoding header to find chunked encoding. This allows an attacker to hide a second request inside Transfer-Encoding: it is interpreted by Squid as chunked and split out into a second request delivered upstream. Squid will then deliver two distinct responses to the client, corrupting any downstream caches.CVE-2020-8449alpinesquid+8EPSS score8.31%
An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.10. Due to incorrect input validation, it can interpret crafted HTTP requests in unexpected ways to access server resources prohibited by earlier security filters.CVE-2020-8517alpinesquid+6EPSS score6.85%
An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.10. Due to incorrect input validation, the NTLM authentication credentials parser in ext_lm_group_acl may write to memory outside the credentials buffer. On systems with memory access protections, this can result in the helper process being terminated unexpectedly. This leads to the Squid process also terminating and a denial of service for all clients using the proxy.CVE-2020-8450alpinesquid+8EPSS score71.79%
An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.10. Due to incorrect buffer management, a remote client can cause a buffer overflow in a Squid instance acting as a reverse proxy.CVE-2014-0128ubuntusquid3+6EPSS score32.63%
Squid 3.1 before 3.3.12 and 3.4 before 3.4.4, when SSL-Bump is enabled, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (assertion failure) via a crafted range request, related to state management.CVE-2014-9749opensuseopensuse+1EPSS score11.44%
Squid 3.4.4 through 3.4.11 and 3.5.0.1 through 3.5.1, when Digest authentication is used, allow remote authenticated users to retain access by leveraging a stale nonce, aka "Nonce replay vulnerability."CVE-2014-7141debiansquid+2EPSS score76.06%
The pinger in Squid 3.x before 3.4.8 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information or cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and crash) via a crafted type in an (1) ICMP or (2) ICMP6 packet.CVE-2014-7142canonicalubuntu_linux+4EPSS score24.93%
The pinger in Squid 3.x before 3.4.8 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information or cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted (1) ICMP or (2) ICMP6 packet size.CVE-2014-6270debiansquid+3EPSS score23.32%
Off-by-one error in the snmpHandleUdp function in snmp_core.cc in Squid 2.x and 3.x, when an SNMP port is configured, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted UDP SNMP request, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow.CVE-2014-3609debiansquid+8EPSS score56.22%
HttpHdrRange.cc in Squid 3.x before 3.3.12 and 3.4.x before 3.4.6 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a request with crafted "Range headers with unidentifiable byte-range values."
